The quality of the Chinese guns have improved a lot since I had my first B3 back
in the 1980s. quality is up and price is still low. The B-20 shown
above was $75.00 over the internet and has been cleaned, deburred, recrowned and
I installed a JM spring and seal kit. |
Mine has a Leapers 3-9x32 AO scope in an Accushot one piece mount and it works well
on this Chinese springer. The cloned Record trigger adjusts to a nice
crisp 1lb let-off |
The wrist on the stock seems a bit full but you get used to it. She shoots
very close to the same point of impact, both field hold and benched, when
balanced at the front stock mounting screw and held firmly to the shoulder. |

.177 cal Very nice Chinese Air Gun |
Xisco BAM B-20 |
The scope mount is 1/2" higher than stock and I like it on this gun. The cocking
action is very smooth and the trigger is easily the best I've found
so far in the cheapie airguns I've shot. |
In the left target the high shot was the first and I came down 6 clicks at 25 meters
to get closer to center, after which the two groups averaged just over 3/8"
ctc.. It's hold sensitive like most springers but not too bad. the
B-20 can group sub half inch at 25 meters all day long with an occasional flyer. |
Overall Impressions. |
For the money it's an excellent buy. Not as good as the R9 it's paterned after
but considering I have about $100.00 in it, it's money well spent. A
better shot than me will get better results in the accuracy department and the
B-20 hits as hard if not harder than my .177 R1. I don't have a chrony so
I can't give any numbers. A pellet will easily penetrate both sides of two
tin cans at 25 meters and keep going.. When I feel like shooting a spriinger this is the one I usually go to. My R1 is harder to cock, heavier and accuracy is about the same with me shooting. Weight is comfortable to carry yet solid enough for informal target shooting In my honest opinion, this is a very good airgun for the money and one of the best deals in a cheap hunter/plinker. |
